The ESKOM Expo for Young Scientists In the Northern KZN region took place at the Ladysmith Indoor Sports Centre on Friday, 31 July.
This is one of 4 Expos that take place in the province. Learners may be selected to represent the province nationally or South Africa internationally after the regional Expo.
All the DSS learners who qualified to participate in this Expo received awards.
Pretty Gingqi and Abigail Thiem recieved a bronze medal for their project, Light is Power.
Qiniso Gingqi and Musa Phungula received a silver medal for their project, BEAT the HEAT.
The Mechanical Engineering Trophy as well as a silver medal were awarded to Luke Allen and Ndumiso Mkhize for their project, ENVIRO-NERGY.
Sabina Allen and Jasmin Husslig were awarded gold for LETTUS GRO.
