On 15 February the 1st team played a 35-over match against Treverton on home turf. DSS won the toss and opted to bat first. From the start of the game, it was clear that it would be a nail-biting experience.
DSS scored 81 runs after 17.3 overs all out. Alex and Herman scored 19 and 13 runs respectively, however, this did not discourage the players and they were determined to win the match.
Treverton went in to bat and initially things looked bleak as they chased down the score quite easily. DSS, however, stuck to their guns. There were 3 excellent catches and 3 run outs from Alex and after 23.1 overs, Treverton was all out for 78 runs. DSS won the match by 3 runs.



On the same day, the 2nd team played a 20-over away game against Treverton in Mooiriver.
DSS scored 136 runs for the loss of 8 wickets after 20 overs. Luca scored 36 runs, with Liam and Khwezi scoring 15 and 13 respectively.
When DSS went in to bowl and managed to keep Treverton’s run rate down resulting in a score of 86 runs for 20 overs with the loss of 8 wickets. DSS won by 50 runs.
