Once again DSS was represented at the Regional Bridge Building competition in Pietermaritzburg this year on 20 July. Domino boys took the first three positions.
First position was won by Alex Gideon, Caleb Schmunk and Owen Witthoft. Their bridge carried a weight of 141.9kg. Ludwig McGill, Stefan Vilciu and Tim Walz took 2nd with their bridge breaking at 123.9kg. Third position was taken by Tom Joubert, Sphelele Memela and Noah Vogel. Their bridge carried a weight of 129kg. It is not only the weight that is carried by the bridge that wins the day but correctness, design and aesthetics.
