The Grade 11 class transformed the sports field into a colourful and delicious-looking Candyland and on 15 September that was the destination for the learners from RRR to Grade 3.
As they arrived, enormous gingerbread men welcomed them for the morning. Giant doughnuts, enormous lollipops and an all-sorts array of activities lined the pathway to their scrumptious adventure.
The day was jam-packed with cupcake-decorating, sand-art, go carts, beanbag tossing, candy scavenger hunts, pin the cherry, candy explosions and loads of fun. Prizes were won and many goodie bags were soon bulging with yummy stuff that begged to be eaten. And, to put the sprinkles on the cupcake, there was a splendid waterslide.
The Grade 11 hosts were sorry to see our little friends leave but having our turn on the waterslide certainly made up for it.
Fun day was a day of sweet, sugary memories that will never be forgotten.
