Aston Martin aka Murray drivers – Sphume, Philip, Amy and Cebsile led their team of athletes onto the field and through every event, scoring a total of 1576 points. McLaren aka Morris drivers – Kwanda, Jeremy, Olga and Andiswa (assisted by Saedie) propelled their team to victory with a total of 1669 points. It was orange and McLaren at the end of the day. Congratulations to Morris, the 2023 winning F1 team.
Morris athletes broke 19 records and Murray athletes, 10 records. Julian Vermaak broke the 1990 Boys 17 1500 record. Themba Sikhakhane ran this race in 04:27.00 and Julian set a new record time of 04:23.27. Ruan Green broke the 1990 Boys 19 1500m record that was set by Pieter Becker. Ruan’s record breaking time was 04:29.72
