For the first time in history, DSS celebrated World Milk Day on 1 June.
Why? Our local dairy introduced a new celebrity, Bonnie the milk cow.
Bonnie made her first public entrance at our assembly. She pranced in on two legs and with her Bonle staff, very intelligently handled a happy group of DSS learners. Bonle staff presented very important information about the value of milk in a healthy diet. Bonnie presented prizes thereafter and gave the learners the delightful BonYo product for free tasting.
She also promoted a book about her fellow cows, Buttercup and uNkonyane and their journey to cowhood. Each learner received a free copy.
