It was wonderful to reach the end of the term on 24 March and have our parents and friends join us. Head prefects, Amy van Tonder and Cebisile Memela directed the program. The Bible reading from Isaiah 53 was done by deputy head prefect, Ndumiso Magqabi in English and prefect, Litha Mziki in Xhosa.
The assembly was a celebration of music talent at DSS. The whole school sang a song, Gentle voice. The music ensemble and brass band entertained the audience with their polished pieces. Kaat Schobben played a cello piece which earned her a distinction from ABRSM for Grade 5. To top it all, the audience sang Jesus keep me near the cross.
Finally, everyone received Easter eggs as a reminder of the Easter season before collecting their term reports and heading home for the Easter break.
