Easter was celebrated at the junior school, the day before term break.
Games, races (bunny hop, carrot & bucket), egg hunts and creative art kept the learners busy the whole day. The most popular game in the IP was the egg toss where two players threw and caught a real egg. If it was thrown and caught without breaking, the distance between the two players was widened by 2m and the process repeated. The winners were Philip Vermaak and Layukhona Mhlongo who managed to stretch the distance between themselves to 17m without breaking their egg.
Eating eggs and Easter egg sandwiches was probably the highlight of the day. (Easter egg sandwiches are Marie biscuits with an egg sandwiched between. The egg has been melted in the microwave for about 5 secs.)
