The school level competition was held on 2 May at DSS. The competing bridges were generally well designed and constructed.
Ludwig McGill, Oswald McGill and Tim Walz took third position. Their bridge carried a load of 244.5kg and their final score was 351 points. This score includes other facets of the bridge such as aesthetics and the weight of the bridge itself.
In 2nd position was Susan Graf, Debi Gouws and Amy van Tonder. Their bridge carried a load of 230.5kg. They scored 364 points.
1st position was won by Ruan Green, Ndumiso Magqabi and Philip Walz. Their bridge carried a load of 230.5kg. Their winning score was 368 points.
