Award assembly took place at the close of the term. This was a welcome return to the ‘normal school programme before COVID’. The head prefects, Conrad van Hasselt and Khulekani Mzolo managed the assembly program. The Bible reading was done in English and German from Matthew 26:37-46. The whole school sang the beautiful song Gethsemane accompanied by the ensemble and directed by Mr Jaeger. This set the Easter tone for the event.
Band and benchmark test awards were handed out to the worthy recipients.
Beacon marshmallow eggs, of course, were a truly South African reminder of Easter.
