On 18 April the bus carrier was packed with 50 people, many instruments, mattresses to sleep on and lots of food. This was the traditional Brass Band weekend where players get together to enjoy a relaxing weekend which included practises as well, of course. Mr and Mrs Kusel were kind enough to host the group for the weekend on their farm at Paulpietersburg.
Some highlights of the weekend:
Excellent food
A tour of the farm with Mr Kusel. Some took a ride in the combine harvester.
A visit to a nearby hydro power plant on the Pongola River which was set up by the local farmers.
Sunday Service in a shed in Paulpietersburg where some brass band members gave their testimonies.
Thank you to the Kusel family for hosting us for the weekend and to the Duvels who invited us for Sunday lunch.
