Have a look at the enormous artwork that took place on the school hall floor over a number of weeks. Costume & Set Designer, Miss Bax, together with learners and other volunteers painted six massive backdrops. The life of Ai-wei-dah (Gladys Aylward) was staged in two main countries – Britain and China. Therefore two different sets of backdrops were needed to portray this on stage. The two centre and largest of the 6 were each 17m in length!
