Book Character Day on 14 March was a first for DSS.
Gr R-6 learners arrived at school as one of their favourite people from the world of books and what an assortment of characters! Mary Poppins rubbed shoulders with Tintin. Robin Hood from Sherwood Forest and Londoner, Paddington Bear, both arrived in authentic gear! What a delight to recognise the familiar book faces and the wonderful stories that they brought to mind. We believe that many more books will come alive and add their bits of joy to this year.
