The Foundation Phase Head, Mrs Stegen, welcomed the 2017 Grade R children and their parents to the Induction Evening on 17 November.
The parents of the prospective learners introduced themselves and their child to the audience. Some were first time parents, others were second, third or fourth-time parents. 9 little eager learners will be joining the DSS family next year. The children were entertained by a delightful puppet show presented by Miss Wey, Bax and Asnicar.
Each new learner was given a welcome gift, which, of course, was very happily received. The evening was concluded with a warm cup of tea or coffee and eats.
