The 1st team played a 20-overs home match against Wartburg Kirchdorf School on 20 March.
WKS won the toss and opted to bat. Good bowling from DSS resulted in 5 wickets in the first 5 overs and only 21 runs. WKS persevered valiantly to the 8th over when they lost another wicket with 33 runs scored. During the 11th over 2 more wickets fell and WKS was 46 runs for 8 wickets. In the end they scored 89 runs all out for 17.3 overs.
DSS chased a score of 90 runs to win. By the end of the 6th over, DSS had lost 4 valuable wickets with only 37 runs on the scoreboard. The next few overs saw a quick rise in the score, with a six, three fours and some quick running between the wickets, taking the score to 89 runs and then the loss of another wicket at the start of the 12th over. The start of the 14th over saw Alex scoring the winning runs for DSS with a beautiful four, taking the score to 93 runs. DSS won the match by 5 wickets.
