Drug Awareness Day was part of the Health and Well-being program at school. A few hours of the high school day were spent with DFL, SAPS and CYPSA on 18 March. These organisations raised awareness of the types of drugs, their dangers and the physical effects of drug use.
SAPS made it clear that once a person goes against the law, he becomes a target of the SAPS and once a person has a criminal record, it sticks for life. CYPSA spoke with a voice of experience. CYPSA has ‘been there and done that’ and through God’s grace, they have become what God meant them to be when He created them. The learners certainly left with many takes.
