Final Award Assembly

DSC05348

The final Award Assembly for 2014 took place on 27 November. It is one of the end-of-the-year climaxes.

The programme was ably handled by FAST students: Mthokozisi Ndondo & Christopher Thompson. Sara Knieper and Cebisa Mabaso did the Bible reading in German and IsiZulu respectively.
The main focus of the final award assembly is of course, academic. Learners in the Senior and FET Phases are given Subject Achievement Awards for achieving 80%+ in their final subject aggregates.
Academic Half Colours were awarded to learners in the FET Phase and there were a number of sport and extracurricular awards. Mrs Rita Stegen honoured us by presenting the awards.
All the proceedings were woven together with music and song, for which there is an abundance of talent at DSS.
Well done to each and every learner who achieved awards!
